Thankful!

As another Thanksgiving is almost here and will be gone before you know it. I am very Thankful.

Sometimes normal life gets a little crazy and things don’t turn out like we plan, but counting my blessings would be impossible. My Faith, Family and Friends keep me on “My Normal”. Photos help too!

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone!

End of an Era – 9

Well, I couldn’t resist.

Last Saturday I went by the remains of Collin Creek Mall again. There is still a lot of demo to be done. I went early to catch the sunrise.

The Sears store is mostly gone. There are a few more piles of rubble here and there with several rows of concrete waiting to be recycled.

One of the upper floors has a bunch of tires laying there. Wonder if they were leftover from Sears?

Maybe I “WILL” take a few more shots of the demo. It helps me see the photo instead of a snapshot.

End of an Era – 8

I’m thinking this may be my last post of the mall for a while. I try to stop by at least once a week to see the progress. I was hoping I could have seen them tearing down the Sears sign, but too late, its already in the piles of tin steel and concrete.

Here is a panoramic shot from the raised parking lot to the east. I’m just a little too far away.

SEArS. The letters on the Sears end of the mall have been hanging for a while before the mall actually closed. I stopped by when you could still go inside the mall and could not resist to shoot the sign.

It wont be dangling much longer as the demo crew has started on that section of the mall.

Its kind of funny the barricade is still there. We sure don’t want that letter to fall on anyone!
