I like to get theses guys early in the morning while the water is still.
Most days there are hundreds if not thousands of birds at the Hagerman Wildlife Refuge.
I like to get there early to beat the traffic like this guy. (Traffic is not an really issue at the refuge.)

It seems like there are hundreds of different sparrow type birds around the area. I think this is a Savannah Sparrow.

This Great Blue was fishing.

I entered the Texas Tech University Office of International Affairs High and Dry photo contest again this year. I am proud to say one of my photos was selected for the exhibit.
I named it “Three Trees Top”. I’ll know the results later this month.

This last post of the Alligators is one of my favorites.
I was laying on the dock. My wife thought I was a little too close!! I felt pretty safe.
Speaking to one of the locals, they have named one of these Lucy.
It doesn’t look like the Lucy I am familiar with!
While on our vacation in Arkansas near Texarkana, we had a few unexpected visitors at lake Millwood. These are two different alligators.
It was one of the highlights of the trip.
Zebadiah hasn’t been out in a while so early Sunday morning, he decided to venture down to the old Collin creek mall to see what has transpired in the last few months.
Zeb heard about the trucks lined up, waiting for their orders of the day, but couldn’t quite understand what all the fuss was about.
He has heard a similar saying all his life.

While I was out for my morning walk, I noticed the sunflowers with the sunrise hitting them during the golden hour. As I looked closer, I could see one with a string of spider webs.
I couldn’t find the spider but it could have been a worm too. Lucky or unlucky?
