I decided after all these years to go out and try to capture some meteors during the Perseus Meteor Shower. This year I left my house at 4:00am and drove to the Hagerman National Wildlife Refuge. It’s the darkest place near my house.
I saw a lot more than I captured

I would do it again.

Here’s my attempt to capture the Neowise Comet. There is too much light pollution around here.

Then I turned and captured Jupiter. I didn’t know until I got home, I could see some of the moons!

During this crazy stay at home time, I had to go out early one morning. It was misty and overcast but it made a nice glow in the lights. This was taken at 6:30am at central expressway and George Bush tollway on a Sunday morning.

The Leaning Tower of Dallas is coming down my noon today. The tower has become a temporary monument in Dallas after a failed building implosion. I had to grab a shot or two like many other people in the area.

The mystery of fog.
Even though I stand on my driveway most every day and know what is there, the fog adds a little suspicion.
Today was an exceptionally foggy day, especially for Texas. The weather man said some places had zero miles visibility. I could’t help but grab my camera. Even though I could hear people, I couldn’t see anyone. I could barely make out the trees.

Those trees are about the length of a football from the end of our driveway.

In downtown Plano, the Christmas tree was still full of lights and bows. Instead of the normal shot, I tried to zoom and capture with slower shutter to create sort of an abstract.
It would have been better if I had my tripod, but I think it worked OK.

Wonder what Santa would think?

My Wife and I have our Wedding Anniversary five days before Christmas, thanks to me (long story!). This year we went to Las Vegas.
Neither one of us came back with a lot of money, but it was nice to get away for a few days.
I found one of the Free things to do while there. Ethel M’s Chocolate Factory and Cactus Garden. Over a million lights on Cactus. Although it sounds different, it was actually very nice, AND they had really good hot chocolate!

Merry Christmas everyone.
