White Rock Bald Eagles – 7

This will be the final post of this shoot at White Rock lake. I still can’t believe I even captured pictures of a nesting pair of Bald Eagles much less a mating nesting pair!

I filled up the buffer on my camera at least twice and took about a hundred pictures of these guys in the act.

I never thought I would ever see Bald Eagle in Texas. I also never thought I would get a picture of a nesting pair. I would go down to White Tock Lake every day if I thought I could get a photo of these guys, much less see them doing what they are about to do.

It gets better!

This time I went back with a Tamron 150-600mm lens. I found the birds where I wasn’t expecting. After about thirty pictures, nature at its best happened through me lens. I’ll post more later in the week to show what I’m talking about.

White Rock Eagles

I wen back to the lake to see if the Eagle was there. I went back to the same area and lo and behold, there one was sitting on the same tree branch.

This time I was able to get a little closer without disturbing the bird.

I’ll try again but I’m going to rent a Tamron 150-600mm lens.
