We had clouds during the first contact of the eclipse. It made for some anxious times. The clouds were moving pretty fast. It did create an interesting shot.

An amazing sight to see.

Rockport Beach, Rockport Texas Annular Solar Eclipse was worth the trip. A cold front came in and the winds were blowing 20-30 mph at times. It made a challenging photo shoot for sure.

Solar Eclipse

In Texas, we get to see two solar eclipse’s within 6 months between October 2023 and April 2024. I am getting ready!

My next few posts will be of the sun.

They will mostly all be taken with my Tamron 150-600 with a 1.4 teleconverter.

I decided after all these years to go out and try to capture some meteors during the Perseus Meteor Shower. This year I left my house at 4:00am and drove to the Hagerman National Wildlife Refuge. It’s the darkest place near my house.

I saw a lot more than I captured

I would do it again.

AntiCrepuscular Rays

Crepuscular rays (also called sun rays and sunbeams) are created when sunlight shines through gaps in clouds and continues through an atmosphere that contains dust and/or haze.
